Garbanzo Mediterranean Grill, a Denver-based fast-casual restaurant concept featuring Mediterranean cuisine, announced the grand opening of its newest location in Denver’s University Hills area. The 11th Garbanzo restaurant will open September 1 and is located at 2466 South Colorado Blvd.

The new Garbanzo restaurant joins nine other Denver-metro locations in Highlands, Greenwood Village, Denver, Aurora, Littleton, Park Meadows, Highlands Ranch, and Glendale, as well as one in Colorado Springs in the Broadmoor Towne Center.

Committed to community involvement, Garbanzo is partnering with the National Sports Center for the Disabled (NSCD) for a preopening fundraising event August 31 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the University Hills restaurant. A $5 donation is recommended, and all donation proceeds will be given to the NSCD (www.nscd.org), a Denver-headquartered nonprofit that provides recreation opportunities for people living with physical, emotional, psychological, and behavioral challenges.

“We are very happy to now provide our fresh, healthy and authentic Mediterranean cuisine to the University Hills community,” says Alon Mor, Garbanzo founder. “Denver as a whole has taken to Garbanzo extremely quickly, and this area has always been a big supporter. They seem just as excited to have us in their neighborhood as we are to be there.”

“Along with the excitement of opening a new restaurant, we are extremely pleased to support the National Sports Center for the Disabled,” Mor says. “This exceptional organization helps change the lives of citizens in Colorado and nationwide living with various disabilities, and we are thrilled to be a part of their efforts.”
