Specialist EPoS solutions provider TISSL, known for being widely used across the hospitality industry and for its pioneering development of mobile restaurant technology, has concluded an agreement with Avero, a U.S. leader in restaurant software. The new agreement will see TISSL reselling Avero’s restaurant-focused data analytics software in the U.K. and the U.S.

“We both pride ourselves on our sector specialism and on delivering real-world restaurant solutions,” states Kevin Coetzee, owner and managing director of TISSL. “We think Avero has a fantastic product. We share the same ethos and strive to provide SMEs and enterprise groups with very rich point-of-sale and point-of-service solutions.”

Avero offers restaurant software that provides answers on how to optimize the guest experience, lower labor costs, and more. By using Avero, restaurants can identify what is driving sales across different time periods, menu categories, and individual items. Avero also improves staff performance by taking complex data and condensing it into an easy-to-understand coaching model. Together, the two solutions help restaurateurs improve service and increase sales.

“Avero takes our TISSL EPoS data and analytics a stage further,” Coetzee observes. “We fit together like a hand in a glove. We generate reports from our clients’ POS processes, and Avero then transforms them into robust solutions that provide deeper business insights.”

A restaurant using both TISSL and Avero can expect to improve its profitability by better understanding the business, uncovering employee fraud, reducing wastage and getting the most from ingredients, lowering staff costs by tightening shift patterns and reducing overtime, and pinpointing staff in need of training.

“It all comes down to knowing your business, your staff and how to exploit the information you obtain,” says Doug Hsieh, Avero president and CFO. “It’s like seeing your data through a clearer lens. The data’s all available but without Avero to transform it into deeper insights, it’s hard to perceive the nuances. For large operating groups that run several EPoS systems, a universal business intelligence tool is particularly valuable.”

As Avero can process data from more than 50 point-of-sale and labor systems, a restaurant wishing to migrate to a new one can do so safe in the knowledge they will remain in control and will maintain a consistent level of management information.

Integration between TISSL EPoS and Avero business intelligence has already taken place. “We’ve already started to show Avero to our U.K. Customers, and they love it,” Coetzee adds.
