Togo’s Sandwiches named Rand Ferris vice president of operations. In his new position, Ferris will assume all responsibilities for operations including franchised and company-owned restaurant operations, training, and new restaurant construction.

“Over the past year, Togo’s has set in place aggressive strategic growth plans while we continue our focus on supporting our current franchise system” says Tony Gioia, CEO of Togo’s Eateries. “Rand’s nearly 30 years of expertise in executive management and restaurant operations will undoubtedly be a strong addition to Togo’s executive leadership team as we seek to continue our positive same-store sales performance, grow our restaurant count in new and existing markets, and increase our operational efficiency.

Ferris brings a specialized focus on operations in the restaurant industry, previously serving as vice president of franchise operations for International House of Pancakes (IHOP), which owns and operates more than 1,300 restaurants. He was also directly involved in the opening of more than 500 new restaurants for the IHOP brand. Ferris holds a bachelor’s degree from California State University, Chico and a master’s of business administration degree from the Anderson School of Management at the University of California, Los Angeles.
