Togo’s Eateries Inc. is giving away 10,000 of its #9 Hot Pastrami sandwiches in celebration of National Pastrami Day on January 14—that’s a total of over 2,500 pounds of Togo’s sliced pastrami.
“Our 10,000 pastrami sandwiches giveaway rewards our raving fans with what they crave. There’s no better way to celebrate National Pastrami Day than with our meatiest giveaway yet,” says Renae Scott, vice president of branding and marketing for Togo’s Eateries. “Togo’s has sold more than 40 million pastrami sandwiches since 1971; we serve hand-sliced pastrami that is made only for us with special seasonings in the old fashioned tradition. In fact, it’s so good, we offer a pastrami guarantee! If you don’t agree our pastrami beats the other guys’ you get your money back. It’s just that good.”
Starting January 7, fans can visit Togo’s Facebook page or website, and the first 10,000 guest can sign up to receive a coupon via e-mail for a free regular #9 Hot Pastrami sandwich valid only on National Pastrami Day.
To further celebrate the holiday, the sandwich chain welcomes the return of its third annual Pastrami Pounder Challenge, in which fans attempt to consume a two-foot long sandwich piled with more than one pound of pastrami in 30 minutes or less. Successful challengers receive a certificate, fame on Togo’s Facebook page, and a “Pastrami Pounder” hat.
