Increasing its reach and strengthening its voice in the fast-casual marketplace, Tropical Smoothie Café launched its first system-wide television advertising campaign. The new commercial, which will air locally in all of the brand’s markets, showcases the breadth of fresh food and smoothies at Tropical Smoothie Café. The spot also highlights Mojo Tacos, the brand’s latest innovative menu addition.

The new 30-second TV spot promotes the brand’s tropical ingredients and bold, unique flavors. Customers are invited to Tropical Smoothie Café’s “table” to try its new Mojo Tacos, featuring a choice of fish, chicken, or steak, topped with handmade Cucumber Salsa and a new signature Mojo Sauce. The creative agency behind the new ad spot is Stroh Creative. The four-week flight, projecting 15 million impressions, will run on Bravo, FX, VH1, ABC Family, TLC, and TBS. Additionally, a 15-second TV wrap-around spot will support Food Network’s show “Chopped.”

“Since 1997, Tropical Smoothie Café has established itself as the destination for flavor, and we’ve built that reputation without any national brand advertising,” says Lisa Wenda, CMO of Tropical Smoothie Café. “Our goal with this campaign is to reach the consumers who enjoy better-for-you food and smoothies but haven’t tried Tropical Smoothie Café yet. We know once they taste our authentic and fresh flavors, they are going to be hard-pressed to find a reason not to come back.”

In conjunction with the new ad, Tropical Smoothie Café is launching a Slice of Paradise Sweepstakes where one lucky grand prize winner will receive a spa day for two, dinner, transportation, and a $100 Tropical Smoothie Café gift card. Six runners-up will receive a $25 Tropical Smoothie Café gift card.
