Tropical Smoothie Café Plays The Name Game

Tropical Smoothie Café is turning to its 42,000-plus fan base on Facebook to officially name its trio of lemonade smoothies that includes Blueberry, Strawberry, and Island flavors.

Through April 9, fans who participate in the online Tropical Smoothie Café “Name Game” sweepstakes will have a chance to win a three-night stay for four in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. The name with the most ‘like’ votes that best complements the brand will be announced April 16, 2010.

“We really couldn’t think of any better way to use the Facebook site as it presents one sharp thinking fan with the opportunity to become a part of Tropical Smoothie Café’s history while being rewarded for their creativity in front of their social media friends,” says Barbara Valentino, vice president of marketing and communication for Tropical Smoothie Café. “The Tropical Smoothie Café crew can’t wait to see the variety of submissions; we are really having a lot of fun with this contest.”

To enter the sweepstakes, an eligible participant must become a fan of the Tropical Smoothie Café fan page by visiting www.facebook.com/OfficialTSC. On the fan page wall is where users can submit their ideas and recruit friends and family to vote to help increase the odds of winning. All entries must be submitted by midnight, April 9, 2010.
