The Downtown Atlanta business crowd, residents, and visitors now have new burger options for lunch and dinner. Checkers Drive-In Restaurants Inc. recently opened two new locations at 61 Broad Street in the Fairlie-Poplar District and at 231 Peachtree Street N.E. in the Peachtree Center. The Fairlie-Poplar restaurant has a small seating area and serves walk-in customers Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. The Peachtree Center location is open in the food court from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday.

“This is our ninth Checkers franchise in Atlanta, and we are grateful for the opportunity to serve our loyal guests,” says Checkers franchisee Aziz Hashim, CEO of National Restaurant Development Inc. and owner of the Fairlie-Poplar location. “We will continue to invest in our city and enjoy hiring from and becoming a part of the communities in which we operate.”

“I have lived in Atlanta for 33 years, and I’m extremely grateful for the opportunity to bring Checkers’ incredible food to my neighbors,” says Checkers franchisee Ali Parsa, owner of the Peachtree Center location. “This is my second Checkers restaurant, but I have more than 30 years of experience in the food industry. I look forward to becoming even more involved in our community.”

Checkers Drive-In Restaurants has more than 820 locations open across the U.S. As for additional expansion, the company is seeking to add several new development agreements in key markets such as Atlanta, Baltimore, Philadelphia, Las Vegas, South Florida, and Orlando.
