If you hear the name “Tyson Foods” and just think chicken, there’s a message for you: more. Tyson Food Service recently launched a communications plan to tell the full story of its full portfolio.

 

“We have a great, 78-year history in the chicken business,” says Bob Corscadden, vice president of distribution marketing for Tyson Food Service. “It’s a history we embrace, but our experience goes well beyond chicken.”

 

With more than 2,500 poultry, beef, pork, and prepared food products, Tyson Food Service has a portfolio that offers operators more quality, more price points, and more menu options—that’s the simple message from the company.

 

But the message of “more” doesn’t stop with just products. The company has been working internally to improve its processes, tools for its sales force, and its understanding of the market—improvements designed to help operators bring in more customers and sales.

 

“We’re asking more from ourselves—operations, R&D, sales, marketing, finance, and IT—to provide more for our customers because our customers are asking more from us,” Corscadden says.

 

Tyson Food Service products are offered under six core brands: Tyson, BONICI, Wright Brand, Mexican Original, IBP Trusted Excellence, and Lady Aster.

 

The Tyson brand offers an extensive line of products that fit the needs of any customer searching for a balance of quality and price point. Tyson branded products include: bone-in and boneless chicken, franks, sausages, burgers, patties, and a number of value-added products.

 

The BONICI product portfolio offers a line of Italian products that help our commercial and non-commercial operators create an authentic Italian experience. BONICI branded products include: pepperoni, pizza toppings, doughs, crusts, flatbreads, meatballs, and wings that are produced with the same quality operators have come to expect from Tyson Food Service.

 

Since 1922, Wright Brand products have offered rich flavor and consistent quality across a variety of pork products including: naturally hickory-smoked bacon, traditional hams for carving or slicing, country breakfast sausage, and more.

 

The Mexican Original brand delivers fresh flavors of Mexican cuisine. The line of products includes traditional favorites made with premium ingredients such as corn and flour tortillas, tortilla chips, tostadas, sopes, and flatbreads.
