Dale Holden, senior vice president of Unified Foodservice Purchasing Co-op (UFPC), announced that UFPC Contractor Connection, a value-added services program for restaurant owners since 2009, will be renamed UFPC Facilities Connection.

UFPC Contractor Connection, a construction products and services business, has been a strategic partner of UFPC Equipment Sales since its initial inception in 2009.

Under the new name, UFPC Facilities Connection will continue to expand its products and services programs targeted to the quick-service restaurant industry from its home offices located in Louisville, Kentucky.

UFPC Facilities Connection is a strategic business partnership between UFPC Equipment Sales

(a division of Unified Foodservice Purchasing Co-op) and Accuserv, an asset management and distribution company.

“In responding to the operational needs of our owners, we’re excited to expand these types of partnerships, which drive value and reduce operational costs,” Holden says.

UFPC Equipment Sales operates several strategic programs with key business partners in smallwares, parts, and international equipment distribution. UFPC is the exclusive supply-chain management organization for Yum! Brands and its three restaurant systems: KFC, Pizza Hut, and Taco Bell.

UFPC also manages the supply chain for A&W and Long John Silver's restaurant systems through specific purchasing agreements. The company negotiates volum purchases of equipment, food, packaging, and other supplies from manufacturers and suppliers for purchase by restaurant operators.
