The Ultimate Barista Challenge USA with coffee challenges in Latte Art, Espresso Frappe, Espresso Cocktail, and Best of Brew Challenges makes its annual appearance at the Western Foodservice & Hospitality Expo in Los Angeles, California. From August 23 – 25th local challengers and the 2008 Ultimate Barista USA Heather Perry will collide in a dueling barista format where only one challenger will win. This is a no holds barred espresso and brewed coffee competition where speed of service, great tasting coffee, and professionalism earn high marks with the panel of UBC judges.

UBC Co-Founder and MC Danny Johns of WholeCup Coffee Consulting, LLC will moderate over the Ultimate Barista Challenge USA with commentary. Throughout the three day event, Heather Perry and UBC Founder and Coffee Specialist, Sherri Johns, will prepare their coffee creations for audience members using UBC sponsors’ products and equipment during the UBC Demonstration events.

This year’s winning UBC Challenger who garners the most medals in challenges will earn an invitation to the National UBC Challenges as the Ultimate Barista Los Angles.
