Uncle Maddio’s Pizza Joint will open its 23rd unit in the state in Daphne, Alabama. The new Daphne restaurant is the fourth of 24 units Uncle Maddio’s will open this year, a 214 percent increase. To celebrate the grand opening of the Uncle Maddio’s location, the team will serve free 9-inch, three-topping, customizable pizzas to all customers in line starting at 11 a.m. on July 19, 2014. One patron in line will be awarded free pizza for one year.

New franchise partners Lisa and Don Taylor have executed exclusive development and franchise agreements to bring Uncle Maddio’s Pizza Joints to Mobile and Baldwin counties in Alabama. Initial plans call for five Uncle Maddio’s Pizza Joint locations over the next several years. The Taylor’s first Uncle Maddio’s location is located in the Jubilee Square Shopping Center. The second location, set to open in the fourth quarter of 2014, will be the first for Mobile County.

“After just one visit to an Uncle Maddio’s Pizza Joint, we knew this was a restaurant concept that we wanted to bring to our hometown. At Uncle Maddio’s, everyone gets exactly what they want on their pizza,” says Don Taylor, Uncle Maddio’s franchisee partner. “We look forward to introducing Uncle Maddio’s to Daphne and Mobile. Uncle Maddio’s offers a completely new way to dine together with family and friends. Meat lovers and vegans co-exist with the limitless options for personalized pizzas, paninis, and salads, served quickly, affordably, and deliciously. We plan to be as aggressive as possible with our openings, as we continue to actively seek the best real estate in the county for our upcoming, new locations.”

“We are moving into Alabama in a big way,” says founder and chief pizza maker Matt Andrew, an industry veteran. “In addition to the Mobile area, we opened our first Alabama unit in Auburn and just announced an agreement to develop Birmingham.”
