Uncle Maddio’s Pizza Joint will test a breakfast menu at its Charlotte, North Carolina, location, serving free breakfast pizzas, panini sandwiches, and Break-zones on Thursday, December 12, and Friday, December 13, at the 101 South Tryon Street location in Charlotte’s Overstreet Mall.

“We are very excited to now offer breakfast at Uncle Maddio’s Pizza Joint in Uptown Charlotte,” says Jerry Licari, Uncle Maddio’s Charlotte-area franchise owner. “Our customers are craving more from Uncle Maddio’s, and we are happy to deliver with innovative and creative new breakfast items, along with fresh fruit, premium coffee, and fresh-squeezed juices. We ‘serve with love’ at lunch and dinner, and look forward to greeting customers earlier in the day with our soon-to-be famous breakfast pizzas, panini [sandwiches,] and Break-zones, which are Uncle Maddio’s take on new breakfast calzones.”

The leading create-your-own pizza franchise combines two popular food trends with the addition of the breakfast daypart in Charlotte. Feature entrées include the Huevos Rancheros Pizza, the Sicilian Pizza, and the All-American Pizza. Remixing classic breakfast dishes for a pizza pie, the Uncle Maddio’s new morning recipes include homemade ranch dressing and tomato basil sauces, roasted and caramelized vegetables such as green peppers, onions, and mushrooms, along with pan-scrambled eggs, ham, bacon, and sweet Italian sausage.

The new breakfast menu includes signature Uncle Maddio’s panini sandwiches available in choices such as Canadian Bacon, Egg and Cheese, Sweet Sausage, Egg and Cheese, and the Bacon, Egg and Cheese. The Uncle Maddio’s breakfast calzone Break-zones include traditional or whole-wheat dough. Baking up new recipes, the Uncle Maddio’s Break-zones include the Mediterranean, the Country Boy, and Good Morning Italia. Each Break-zone features homemade sauce, such as tomato basil and barbeque, cheeses, scrambled eggs, and marinated meats and vegetables.

“We see breakfast as a natural step to provide our customers with the most choices in Charlotte,” says Uncle Maddio’s chef pizza maker, Matt Andrew. “We look forward to serving early morning patrons and seeing how we can grow our breakfast appeal in markets where breakfast is a natural fit.”
