Uncle Maddio’s Pizza Joint introduces Take and Bake to the Atlanta market. With Take and Bake, customers come in and design their own pizza, take it home, and bake it whenever they are ready.
Take and Bake differs from take-out, as it is made-to-order, but not baked, and the customer bakes it at home. It differs from premade grocery store pizzas in that customers customize their crust, sauce, and toppings.
“I can call ahead and order my pizza or go right to the store and create my own pie,” says Heather Shroyer of Woodstock, Georgia. “I can do this all at the convenience of my schedule and bake it when I’m ready.”
This extends the tradition of Uncle Maddio’s Pizza Joint giving its customers choices: choice of crust (whole wheat, traditional, gluten free), choice of toppings (more than 47), and now the choice of dine in, take out, or take and bake.
