Uno Chicago Grill will cater the Illinois Inaugural Celebration Ball with classic Uno deep-dish pizza as part of an invitation-only event featuring more than 30 themed dining rooms. Uno will be the featured pizza in the Pizzeria Room, decorated with checkered table clothes and Chianti bottles with candles.

In addition, Uno will be catering several private, high-end, invitation-only events whose organizers have requested anonymity.

The chain will also host “Inauguration Celebrations” at many of its 200-plus locations nationwide. Select locations will also host invitation-only events scheduled to coincide with the actual Inauguration on Jan. 20. These events will consist of a special Snack Hours party held in the lounge area from 4 to 7 p.m.

“We’re delighted to represent the great city of Chicago at so many upcoming inauguration parties,” says Rick Hendrie, senior vice president of marketing for Uno. “And we’re delighted to bring that sense of celebration to our locations throughout the country.”

Uno also will feature the Obama Pizzanality Pizza at most of its restaurants. After the company asked its team of chefs to decide the “pizzanality” of President Elect Obama, they chose an original Chicago deep-dish pizza with a liberal layering of pepperoni to stay true to his career roots in Illinois. Customers who aren’t fans of pepperoni can choose alternate toppings.
