Multi-platinum recording artist and television personality Nick Lachey is serenading his summer love interest: Wendy's Pretzel Bacon Cheeseburger. The brand released the final video of its #PretzelLoveSongs digital campaign, starring Lachey, on Facebook.
The love-song extraordinaire croons a mashup of three American loves: pretzel, bacon, and cheeseburger, choosing the most passionate #PretzelLoveSongs posts from fans.
"Our fans are the stars, directors, and writers of #PretzelLoveSongs," says Craig Bahner, Wendy's chief marketing officer. "Consumers' viral outpouring for the Pretzel Bacon Cheeseburger drove our inspiration for these entertaining videos."
Wendy's Pretzel Bacon Cheeseburger was introduced nationwide in July. To celebrate fans' excitement, Wendy's turned their heart-felt social media posts into song lyrics through a five-part video series.
Lachey's finale video gives an over-the-top homage to love song music videos of the past, with exaggerated theatrics, emotion, and backdrops. It is complete with a bed of rose petals, extended gazes into the camera, and falling rain.
"I've had a blast turning Pretzel Bacon Cheeseburger fans' social media love into lyrics," Lachey says. "Fans' love inspired one of the most fun music videos I've been a part of, and this cheeseburger is deserving of every accolade."
Wendy's Pretzel Love Songs digital campaigns is one of the most successful in Wendy's history. To date, more than 80 million people in the U.S. have seen the #PretzelLoveSongs campaign.
