Women’s Foodservice Forum (WFF) is entering a partnership with The MGM Resorts Foundation, the non-profit foundation driven by employees of MGM Resorts International, one of the world’s leading hospitality companies, to present the Seventh Annual Women’s Leadership Conference. WFF and the MGM Resorts Foundation will collaborate on programming and content for the Foundation’s conference. MGM Resorts launched the conference to help women achieve their professional and personal aspirations and promote greater involvement of women leaders in community support. Past conferences have included keynote speakers, breakout sessions, and networking opportunities on a variety of relevant topics. WFF, which operates its own successful leadership conference serving the foodservice and hospitality industry, brings its long-standing proficiency and perspective to the Foundation’s expansion of the programming content and offerings of this conference.

“We commend The MGM Resorts Foundation for taking such meaningful steps to support and develop more women leaders,” says Fritzi Woods, WFF president and CEO. “With nearly 25 years of leadership development experience with global brands, WFF looks forward to working with the MGM Foundation to take its Women’s Leadership Conference to a new level.”

According to Woods, leadership development is increasingly helping organizations define themselves as an employer of choice, a crucial advantage in people-driven industries which serve people. MGM Resorts employs more than 61,000 people in provision of hotel/convention, gaming, dining, and other amenities at the 16 domestic U.S. resorts it operates; the workforce at foreign resorts that MGM Resorts operates consists of several thousand more employees. MGM Resorts has received numerous awards and recognitions for its industry-leading Diversity and Inclusion Initiative and its community philanthropy programs.

“WFF has an outstanding reputation in delivering best-in-class content for leadership development,” says Phyllis A. James, foundation director and MGM Resort’s chief diversity officer. “As a global leader serving a huge employee base, it is crucial that we do all we can to foster the growth and development of our team members, which will not only enhance our business operations but also boost the quality of our engagement for the betterment of our communities.”

The MGM Resorts Foundation Women’s Leadership Conference will take place August 8 to 9, 2013, at the MGM Grand Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. The conference is open to women of all ethnicities, professions, and social backgrounds, based in Las Vegas and beyond. Men who are interested in supporting women’s leadership development as well their own personal growth are also encouraged to attend.
