The board of directors of White Castle System, Inc. has promoted Dave Rife to the position of assistant vice president.

As a member of the company’s executive council, Rife will play a crucial role shaping future direction for the company, with an especially keen focus on the ownership objective of “remaining a family owned business for generations to come.”

“Dave has been a key contributor to the growth and success of White Castle for decades,” says White Castle CEO E. W. “Bill” Ingram III.

“He is has an intuitive business sense and a strong dedication to upholding White Castle’s vision and values as a family owned business that supports and believes in its team members.”

Rife previously held the position of assistant general manager for the White Castle Porcelain Steel Buildings division (PSB), in which he was responsible for oversight of PSB Columbus manufacturing operations. PSB has an impressive list of external clients from key industries such as automotive, appliances, and retail.

Rife is the oldest of the fourth generation of family members who own and operate White Castle. In February, he represented White Castle on the hit CBS show Undercover Boss.

Rife grew up with the White Castle business taking his first job in restaurant operations working behind the restaurant counter while he was still in high school. He is a graduate of the Ohio State University and received his MBA degree from Franklin University.

Taking an active role in community, Rife serves on the board of the Second and Seven Foundation, a charity dedicated to promoting childhood literacy and volunteers his time and talent to Autism Speaks. He lives with his wife, Lynn, and their two sons, Matt and Zach in Delaware, Ohio.
