Batter up! Just in time for Opening Day, Wingstop has been named the official wings of the Los Angeles Dodgers and a proud sponsor of the Los Angeles Angels.

The sponsorship includes more than 60 Wingstop locations throughout Southern California, including restaurants in Los Angeles, Ventura, Riverside, San Bernardino, and Orange counties.

“Wings and sports are a perfect match,” says Danny Sonenshine, president of the Wingstop Southern California Advertising Association. “We’re excited to bring together wing fans and baseball fans and support the Dodgers and Angels this season.”

As part of the Dodgers’ official wings sponsorship, fans who sign up for Dodgervision, an in-game text program, receive a text for five free boneless wings with a regular seasoned fry or beverage purchase if the Dodgers hit a home run during the sixth inning at home games. The offer is good the following day.

The campaign will be supported with Fox Sports West TV spots, billboard ads, commercials on KLAC-AM radio and KTNQ-AM Spanish radio, and in-stadium signage.

The Angels proud sponsor partnership will include a full page ad in the game program, in-stadium baseline signage, pre-game spots on Fox Sports West, and radio spots on KLAA-AM Angels Radio and KWKW-AM Spanish radio.

“Wingstop sells more than 100,000 wings daily in Southern California,” Sonenshine says. “We have some of the most loyal wing and sports fans around and look forward to cheering on the Dodgers and Angels this season.”

Wingstop has a strong history with professional sports. Wingstop Southern California is also the official wings of the Los Angeles Lakers, and Wingstop was named the official wings of the Dallas Cowboys and the preferred wings of the Houston Texans in 2009.

Hall of Fame quarterback and Fox sportscaster Troy Aikman has been the company’s spokesman since 2003 and joined the Wingstop board of directors in 2011.
