Wingstop, the rapidly expanding wing chain with more than seven consecutive years of same store sales increases, has been named one of the 10 best franchise deals in the nation, according to QSR magazine.

Wingstop was listed among nine other brands as a best franchise deal in the June issue of QSR. Since the company was founded in 1994 and began franchising in 1997, Wingstop has grown to more than 480 open locations in 32 states and Mexico. Today, 95 percent of the system is franchise owned and operated.

"It's a huge honor to be included as one of QSR's 10 Best Franchise Deals," says David Vernon, vice president of franchise sales. "Wingstop is quickly becoming one of the most well-known names in the industry and we look forward to opening new restaurants and serving wing fans across the country."

In addition to the QSR listing, Wingstop is on track to set a company record for franchise sales. Since December, Wingstop has closed franchise agreements with new and existing brand partners to result in 71 new stores, including its first locations in Seattle, Milwaukee, and Brooklyn, New York, and additional locations in San Diego, Atlanta, and Los Angeles.

With a sole focus on cooked-to-order chicken, the Wingstop menu features traditional and boneless wings, strips and the chain's newest offering, Glider sandwiches, all sauced and tossed in nine original flavors including Lemon Pepper and Garlic Parmesan. Homemade side dishes include fresh-cut fries with proprietary seasoning, Bourbon baked beans, and potato salad.
