Wingstop is opening its newest wing location in Detroit at 1331 8 Mile Rd. with some added Detroit history.

John Draper, brand partner and operator of the newest Michigan Wingstop, makes this location the fourth location in the state and the first in the Detroit area. Local wing aficionados not only can stop in for game days and local events, but customers can also see a compilation of vintage Tuskegee Airmen photos adorning the Wingstop walls.

"We thought it was important to incorporate the personality and culture of the local community," Draper says. "We decided to revise the traditional, aviation-themed Wingstop decor to be inclusive of our customers."

The decor is not only significant to the Detroit community and its surrounding historic area, but it is also a twist to Wingstop's aviation-themed branding.

The Wingstop menu features classic and boneless wings, made to order in 10 flavors including Lemon Pepper, Garlic Parmesan, and Original Hot. Sides are made daily including seasoned fries made from Idaho potatoes, baked beans, coleslaw, potato salad, and house-made ranch and bleu cheese dips.

The Detroit location is open from 11 a.m. to midnight daily.
