WyckWyre Eases Hiring Process With I-9, Tax Checks
Restaurants can now reduce their liability while hiring and on-boarding new employees even faster with new system integrations for recruiting from WyckWyre.com.
WyckWyre.com is proud to announce major system integrations that help employers easily do I-9 Verifications, receive Work Opportunity Tax Credits (WOTC), conduct background checks, and more.
The restaurant industry predominately employs younger workers, hourly workers, and a high-level of immigrant workers. This leaves many restaurateurs open to major legal issues if they are not stringent throughout the hiring process.
"We designed our system to not only reduce employee turnover, but to also limit the liability that employers carry in our industry," says Justin Poet, vice president of WyckWyre.com. "We accomplished this by incorporating E-Verify (I-9 compliance checks) and background checks into our recruiting tool, as well as many other valuable tools for our customers."
This integration is more relevant now than ever for restaurants. Major corporations have been implicated in hiring many illegal immigrants after immigration and customs enforcement (ICE) have narrowed in on the industry. Last February, Chipotle Mexican Grill was forced to fire hundreds of workers in many of its Minnesota stores after a probe by immigration authorities showed that many employed there were illegal immigrants.
"WyckWyre.com now makes focusing on the right person for the job even more easy,” says Lisa DiVirgilio, WyckWyre.com's marketing manager. “With I-9 checks integrated into our system, it's now easier to avoid any hassles or fines related to hiring illegal workers. You can quickly check employment verification with electronic form completion, deadline tracking, and more.”
Employers can also leverage Work Opportunity Tax Credits (WOTC) easily and seamlessly through the WyckWyre.com system. These credits could earn employers up to $9,000 per hire.
These tax credits for employers typically range from as little as $1,000 to as much as $9,000 for hiring certain individuals, depending on the worker's age and background.
"Many restaurateurs are unaware of the potential tax incentives available to them,” Poet says. “With our WOTC verification and processing integration, restaurants are easily able to access the funds that they are eligible for.”
Background checks for employers through WyckWyre.com's system allows employers to check criminal records, employment records, sexual offender searches, address history searches, and more, with a few, simple clicks. All of this relevant information is easily accessible through WyckWyre.com.
"These integrations, along with our system's original tools, are going to help employers spend less time finding and on-boarding workers, and more time working on building their restaurant's brand," DiVirgilio says. "It's a win-win for any restaurateur."
