Yogurt Mountain,a Birmingham, Alabama-based self-serve yogurt store, has opened a new store at 1801 W. Tennessee Street, Suite 2, Tallahassee, Florida—making this location the 19th store and 4th franchise.

A Grand Opening event is scheduled for March 18, 2011, from 6:00-9:00 p.m. at the new location. Customers are invited to visit the store and enjoy a free 10-ounce yogurt during the Grand Opening event. 

"Tallahassee is an excellent market to expand our build-your-own self-serve concept," says David Kahn, president and CEO of Yogurt Mountain. "We’re providing dessert freedom of choice in a unique environment. Our concept brings the convenience of build-your-own yogurt and topping combinations galore in a pay-by-the-ounce model." 

Yogurt Mountain offers 16 rotating flavors of fat-free or low-fat varieties enhanced with probiotics and over 50 available toppings. Frozen yogurt options include sorbets, fat-free tarts, no sugar added, and seasonal flavors along with a buffet of toppings ranging from fresh fruit, nuts, candies, sprinkles, cereals, and an assortment of sensational sauces.  

Yogurt Mountain opened the first store in September 2009 and currently has 19 stores in Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Indiana, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee. More company-owned and franchise locations are under development and expected to open.
