Yoshinoya, one of Japan’s largest restaurant chain companies and a global brand with over 1,400 locations throughout the world, announced it will celebrate the opening of its first Ventura County, California, location on December 19. The opening brings the total number of restaurants to 98 in the U.S. New location openings outside of Los Angeles over the past 18 months have included Las Vegas; Phoenix; and the California cities of Corona, Oxnard, and Escondido.

“We are excited to open our 98th location in Oxnard,” says vice president of franchise development and sales, Scot Hobert. “We continue to receive inquiries from Ventura County residents for new Yoshinoya restaurants and our fresh, affordable, and wholesome Japanese style food. We expect that Yoshinoya will continue to expand in Ventura County as new, and current, franchisees are looking for open territories like this that have strong demand for our brand.”

The new Yoshinoya location in Oxnard will be holding an official grand opening celebration on January 9 with free collectible tea cups, prizes, music, and an official ribbon cutting by the mayor of Oxnard, Dr. Thomas E. Holden.
