At the recent YUM! Star Supplier Awards ceremony, held in Louisville, Kentucky, the Delfield Company took home the 2008 U.S. Equipment Supplier of the Year Award. The award recognizes Delfield’s working relationship with YUM! Brands—specifically, Taco Bell, KFC, and A&W—and the success of the custom fabrication-prep and serving-line products.
Accepting the award for Delfield were: Joe Kaplan, vice president of global accounts–YUM! for Manitowoc Foodservice; Don Alwood, brand development manager for Delfield; and Kevin Clark, Delfield group president.
“We are proud to be associated with the leading companies in foodservice, and the additional recognition of a job well done is very much appreciated,” Clark said upon acceptance. “This award is the result of a customer-first philosophy that is an integral part of the Delfield DNA.” Clark attributes the team’s pride in workmanship, along with its focus on the customer as the impetus, behind winning the award.
