Yum! Brands, Inc. (NYSE: YUM), reported today an ongoing operating earnings increase of $0.49 per share, an increase of 21% over the same period last year. In addition, third-quarter international systemwide sales increased 10% prior to conversion to U.S. dollars and U.S. same-store sales increased 3%.

As a result, full-year 2002 operating earnings guidance was increased from at least $1.88 to a range of $1.89 to $1.91.
