Yum! Brands, Inc. Reports Third Quarter Operating Earnings
Yum! Brands, Inc. (NYSE: YUM), reported today an ongoing operating earnings increase of $0.49 per share, an increase of 21% over the same period last year. In addition, third-quarter international systemwide sales increased 10% prior to conversion to U.S. dollars and U.S. same-store sales increased 3%.
As a result, full-year 2002 operating earnings guidance was increased from at least $1.88 to a range of $1.89 to $1.91.
David C. Novak, Chairman and CEO, said, "Yum! Brands had another outstanding quarter with better than expected results driven by exceptional performance from our international and Taco Bell businesses.”
Yum! is operator and franchisor of Taco Bell, KFC, Pizza Hut, Long John Silver’s, and A&W brands.
