Yum! Brands, Inc. (NYSE:YUM), parent company of A&W All-American Food, KFC, Long John Silver's, Pizza Hut and Taco Bell, is using an innovative approach to celebrate its fifth anniversary this year.

In a first for corporate America, Yum! Brands will broadcast a special half-hour employee anniversary celebration today through "leased access" cable television reaching thousands of U.S. employees right in their own homes. The program will first air at 10:00 a.m. EDT and again at 10:00 p.m. EDT so that restaurant workers on different shifts can see the show. While the broadcast was designed to communicate important messages to an internal audience, it will also reach into 11 million U.S. households, enabling employee family members, customers and shareholders to view the company's vision, success strategies and commitment to customer satisfaction.

"The broadcast is a breakthrough way to celebrate our 5th anniversary and galvanize the system," said David C. Novak, Chairman and CEO, Yum! Brands, Inc. "We're equally excited to share our vision, achievements and passion for Customer Mania with our larger, extended family of consumers and shareholders."

Broadcast channels will vary from market to market and larger markets may have two or more channels. Cities were selected based on the highest concentration of employees and hometown locations for each brand. Markets include: New York, Los Angeles, Dallas, Chicago, Philadelphia, Miami, Seattle, Portland, Louisville, Irvine, Ca. and Detroit among others.
