Yumz Gourmet Frozen Yogurt, the Chicago based self-serve franchise, has announced an aggressive expansion campaign, planning to add 25 locations in the greater Chicagoland area over the next two years and 75 in other U.S. markets.

Yumz Gourmet Frozen Yogurt’s expansion plans include more than 30 stores already in the works in markets such as Madison, Milwaukee, Scottsdale, Salt Lake City, Las Vegas, and Spokane.

The newest locations of Yumz Gourmet Frozen Yogurt will join the brand’s original two stores founded by owners Matt and Lori Thelander and John Barnes. The brand opened its first Chicago store in Crystal Lake at 5006 Northwest Highway in November of 2010, and their second in Lake in the Hills at 277 Randall Road in July 2011. Both stores have exceeded expectations.

"We created a unique franchise opportunity with superior taste, strong customer loyalty programs, and a very affordable franchising program with the intention of helping franchisees maximize their profit potential,” says John Barnes, co-founder of Yumz Gourmet Frozen Yogurt.

"With the success of our original stores and the massive appeal for how we’ve built a better frozen yogurt concept, it has paved the way for a large scale expansion with development in many markets. The demand has been significant.”
