Del Taco Helping to Feed Denver's Hungry

Every day in the greater Metropolitan Denver area, approximately 400,000 people worry about where they will get their next meal. KS1075 and Del Taco are reaching out to the community to help address the need. All 13 Denver-area Del Taco restaurants will collect non-perishable food for the sixth annual KS1075 Thanksgiving Food Drive benefiting the Food Bank of the Rockies, hosted by KS1075’s Tony V. The food drive will run November 16–23 with the goal of collecting more than one ton of food. The Food Bank of the Rockies serves those who live in poverty and struggle to meet their basic food needs. Hunger is especially hard on children, who make up 47 percent of Food Bank of the Rockies’ clients and must have proper nutrition to grow and learn.

KS1075 will broadcast live at various Del Taco restaurant locations in the Denver metro area November 16–20 and free Del Taco food coupons will be given out to those who donate a canned or boxed non-perishable food item.

“We are going to feed families,” says KS1075’s Tony V. “This is a wonderful opportunity for KS1075 to bring the community together to help those who are truly in need this holiday season.”
