Wayne Garner plans a special opening celebration sometime in late April or May but since opening in late March the customers have been visiting the new Conoco gas/C-store/Long John Silver's restaurant in droves.
``We have yet to hold a grand opening,'' explained Sandy Garner. ``The first day we did 300 orders and we have had customers lined up around the block to our facility. The seafood menu is really popular. We were originally talking to a sandwich chain but finally settled on Long John Silver's because their people were very responsive.''
``Our customers have been fantastic, sometimes waiting more than 20 minutes in line,'' she added.
The new 45 x 100 foot modern facility, which features cathedral ceilings, offers seating for 40 in the restaurant and another 12 seats in the C-store plus a drive through.
The Garners employ 30 people at their operation, which is open 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. seven days a week.
