Through a November campaign called "Slice for Life," patrons of these eateries were encouraged to donate money to the organzation's fight against cancer.
The Leukemia Society of America provides partial funding for cancer-related research, patient services, public and professional education, and community services. Leukemia and other blood-related cancers claim the lives of more children and adults under the age of 35 than any other disease, according to the Society.
"It was great to team up with a national chain like Villa Pizza," said Marty Siederer, National Director, Campaign Development Fund Raising. "We appreciate all of their hard work in helping us with our goal to cure Leukemia."
