After a season of sweet treats, savory snacks, and hearty comfort foods, it can be a challenge switching to less-indulgent, healthier options in the New Year. To help guests put the flavor back in healthy living, Corner Bakery Cafe introduced a Facebook program inviting fans to kick off the New Year by committing to a healthier lifestyle and pledging to “Turn the Corner” in 2012.
The first 10,000 guests to “like” Corner Bakery Cafe’s Facebook page and take the pledge on the Turn the Corner tab, sharing their plan for a healthier lifestyle in 2012, will receive a mailed offer for a free Corner Combo. Guests can choose from more than 100 of their favorite combos under 600 calories on Corner Bakery Cafe’s “100 Under 600” menu. Fans can also share the program with their Facebook networks to announce their commitment to a healthier lifestyle and encourage others to “Turn the Corner” and take the pledge.
“As passionate food lovers, we understand it’s easier to stick to New Year’s resolutions and healthy lifestyles when meals are flavorful and filling,” says Ric Scicchitano, senior vice president of food and beverage at Corner Bakery Cafe. “We’re committed to offering guests a healthier selection of prepared-to-order breakfast, lunch, and dinner options year-round, so they can enjoy great-tasting yet sensible meals without missing out on taste and variety.”
All year long, guests are invited to visit the “100 Under 600” Calorie Counter on Corner Bakery Cafe’s website, mobile site, and Facebook page for customized healthy meal planning. The Calorie Counter allows guests to create their favorite Corner Combo, pairing signature sandwiches, toasty panini, hand-tossed salads, and homemade soups to find the perfect combination under 600 calories.
Corner Bakery Cafe's “100 Under 600” menu features a variety of calorie-wise options, from the Uptown Turkey Sandwich & Roasted Tomato Basil Soup to the Chicken Pomodori Panini & Mixed Greens or the Chopped Salad & Three Lentil Vegetable Soup.
