As the grand finale of its year-long 50th anniversary celebration, Taco Time NW is thanking fans with more than $13,000 in cash and prizes in its search for the Taco Time Ultimate Fan.
Participants are invited to compete in challenges and collect points toward rewards ranging from Cactus Cards to a grand prize of $10,000 and the title of Ultimate Fan.
Participants have until December 16 to work through five levels of challenges, each more difficult and worth more points than the previous stage.
Challenges progress through five categories beginning with Trivia, including historical, educational, and pop culture questions; Social, requiring social media interaction; Photo, to upload and share Taco Time–centric photos; Ambassador,with challenges that require sharing information about Taco Time; and culminating with Ultimate challenges that require time, creativity, and dedication.
Prizes will be awarded based on the number of points at the conclusion of the contest and include:
· One grand prize winner of $10,000 and title of Taco Time Ultimate Fan
· Three second-place finishers win $1,000 each
· 22 third-place finishers each receive a $100 Cactus Card
In addition, prizes will be given to nonplacing participants that achieve various points during the competition:
· 1,600 points: an exclusive invitation to the Ultimate Fan Gathering held in 2013
· 1,300 points: $5 Cactus Card
· 1,000 points: Coca-Cola Freestyle giveaway
“We’re throwing our biggest competition in 50 years and can’t wait to see our fans go head-to-head to prove their passion for Taco Time Northwest,” says Brandon Petersen, marketing manager of Taco Time NW.
“Now’s the time for our incredibly loyal fans to show us what they’ve got,” he continues. “It’s not only prize money on the line, but also bragging rights and a title that will go down in Taco Time history.”
To enter and play, guests can visit Taco Time’s website or scan QR codes found in their local Taco Time NW restaurants between November 7 and December 16, 2012.
Throughout 2012, Taco Time NW launched a number of programs to thank the community for its support, including the Taco Time Traveler, which has been distributing free food at community events throughout Western Washington.
