ShiftZen, a restaurant scheduling software company based in Durham, North Carolina, announced the promotion of Henrik Pedersen to director of programming. Pedersen will be responsible for directing and coordinating activities such as computer programming and systems analysis.
Pedersen had served as a Web and backend developer for ShiftZen over the last year and has helped the startup code, test, and release many new features. He was instrumental in helping create the labor-reporting functionality and launching ShiftZen’s app. In his new role, Pedersen will not only lead programming, but also explore the latest technology and determine whether it is viable to integrate with ShiftZen’s restaurant employee scheduling software.
“Our ability to advance the product quickly is a direct result of hiring Henrik Pedersen,” says Peter Michaels, CEO of ShiftZen. “We are in a position where our competitors appear content with their product while Henrik is constantly pushing the envelope, utilizing the latest technology available and listening to our customer’s needs.”
ShiftZen serves as an all-in-one employee scheduling solution helping restaurants save time and money. ShiftZen is Web based and enables restaurants to dispense with the resource drain that comprises weekly scheduling.
