2008 QSR Consumer Survey
2008 QSR Consumer Survey

NEW! This survey was conducted in March 2008 by the independent research firm of Litchfield Research, on behalf of QSR magazine. Litchfield Research obtained opt-in e-mail lists of consumers with a geographically random distribution across the United States. Invitations were sent to over 100,000 unique e-mail addresses. The invitation contained a link to a web-based survey form. Reminders were sent to non-responders. Upon completion of the survey, respondents were given the opportunity to enter a drawing for one of ten $50 American Express gift cards. Winners were randomly selected by Litchfield Research.
EXCERPT:
Meal Most Likely to be Eaten at a Fast Food Restaurant

57% of respondents indicated that lunch is the meal most likely to be eaten at a fast food restaurant, followed by dinner (25%). These percentages are nearly identical to the 2007 survey at 57% and 27% for lunch and dinner, respectively. Midday snack and late night snack both received 3%. These answer choices were not available in 2006, but "other" was a choice and received 3% of responses in 2006.
