Whataburger and H-E-B Introduce Kettle-Cooked Chips

Giving customers a taste of the past, Whataburger and H-E-B introduces Whataburger's new Kettle-Cooked Potato Chips. Whataburger originally offered customers potato chips when the first restaurant opened in 1950, and continued serving them until introducing french fries to the menu in 1962. To tie back to its heritage, Whataburger has created crunchy, kettle-cooked chips inspired by some of its most popular restaurant flavors.

Whataburger Offers Ketchup Portraits

In honor of Whataburger's 30th anniversary of its popular Fancy Ketchup cups, Whataburger is hosting a #FancySKETCHUP event on Twitter, where Whataburger fans can have their self-portrait drawn using none other than Whataburger's Fancy Ketchup. For a chance to participate, fans must tweet @Whataburger using the hashtag #FancySKETCHUP tomorrow.
Whataburger's Fancy Ketchup admirers even have a dedicated Facebook fan page with more than 20,000 fans, where fans have described the condiment as "life-changing," "best on the planet" and "ketchup of the gods."

WhataGames Competition Moves Into Semifinals

As part of Whataburger’s ongoing commitment to freshness, quality and customer service, 121 Whataburger restaurants have emerged as semifinalists in the company’s “WhataGames” competition: a contest designed to test the skills of Whataburger team members in three categories: operations, corporate history and customer service.

Whataburger Invites Contest Winners Into Test Kitchen

Whataburger fans now have a chance to win an exclusive visit to Whataburger's test kitchen where Whataburger's new sandwich creations are invented.
The contest launches Monday, January 12. Fans will shoot a short video saying "mmmmm" after taking a bite of the new Chicken Strip Monterey Melt and share it on any social media platform with the hashtag #mmmelt.

Whataburger Brings Back Green Chile Double Burger in TX, OK

Whataburger's popular Green Chile Double Burger is back once more for a limited time in Texas and Oklahoma. The burger, with a roasted green chile flavor, returned earlier this week to satisfy bold tastes.

The Green Chile Double Burger features two beef patties; both Monterey Jack and American cheese slices; and roasted, seasoned green chiles on a toasted bun. The chiles give the burger its flavor, but fans can kick up the spice by adding jalapeños for a few cents more.

Whataburger Launches Sauces, Mayo at H-E-B

Whataburger and H-E-B Grocery Stores announced that Whataburger's Signature Sauces are now available at H-E-B and Central Market stores. The bold flavors that are found on some of Whataburger's most popular burgers and sandwiches are now available in the condiment aisle and include Peppercorn Ranch, Creamy Pepper Sauce, Jalapeño Ranch, and Honey Mustard.

Whataburger Offering Honey Butter, Sausage in Retail Stores

Based on its growing popularity and strong customer demand, Whataburger and H-E-B announced today Whataburger’s Honey Butter and Premium Pork Sausage are now available at H-E-B and Central Market stores in Texas. 

Honey Butter, a main ingredient in the company’s Honey Butter Chicken Biscuit, is a customer favorite: there have been nearly 20,000 mentions of the sauce on Twitter in 2014 alone. The company’s sausage is also featured on breakfast items from Whataburger’s Taquitos to its Breakfast on a Bun.

Whataburger Heats Up with Jalapeño Cheddar Biscuit

Whataburger’s customers can try a new spin on an old favorite with the brand’s new Jalapeño Cheddar Biscuit, available for a limited time. The new offering is a buttermilk biscuit with shredded cheddar cheese and diced jalapeños baked inside, resulting in a cheesy taste with the flavor of a jalapeño, but without the heat.

Customers can enjoy the Jalapeño Cheddar Biscuit in a number of ways: on a Biscuit Sandwich with sausage or bacon, egg, and cheese; with Biscuits & Gravy; as part of a Breakfast Platter Meal with sausage or bacon, egg, and hash browns; or á la carte.
