Wienerschnitzel Celebrates Anniversary with Discounted Dogs

July is National Hot Dog Month and the 53rd anniversary of Wienerschnitzel. To celebrate, the company is rolling back prices on three classic Hot Dogs on Sunday, July 20. In honor of its 1961 founding year, participating Wienerschnitzel locations are offering fans its original Chili Dog, Mustard Dog, or Kraut Dog for 61 cents each.

Wienerschnitzel Gets in The Summer Spirit with New Offerings

Wienerschnitzel has introduced a variety of new menu items to kick-off the summer. Two new Big Angus Premium Beef Dogs, Tastee Freez Caramel creations and Summer Sippers Lemonades are now available for a limited time at participating locations.

The BBQ Bacon Angus Dog features bacon, crispy onion straws and zesty BBQ sauce.

The Blue Cheese & Bacon Angus Dog is topped with Blue Cheese crumbles, grilled onion, and drizzled with Blue Cheese dressing.

Wienerschnitzel Cuts Prices on Chili Dogs for Tax Season

Wienerschnitzel, the world’s largest hot dog chain, is cutting back the price of its Chili Dogs to just 99 cents for limited time only. Back by popular demand for the fourth year, this deal is available at participating locations through April 27.

“Wienerschnitzel has always been a place our guests can depend on for a one-of-a-kind Chili Dog at a great everyday value,” says Tom Amberger, vice president of marketing. “We chose to introduce this promotion in April to give our loyal fans a price break on our most popular menu item during the sometimes stressful tax season.”

Wienerschnitzel’s Hot Dog Mascot Makes His Return

Wienerschnitzel announced the return of its hot dog mascot, known as “The Delicious One” a.k.a. “TDO,” to the forefront of the company’s marketing campaign.  TDO first made his debut in 1999 and was last featured in 2008. Due to popular demand from fans and franchisees alike, TDO is making a huge comeback as the face of the brand in 2014.

Wienerschnitzel Heats Up, Cools Down With Summer LTOs

With the summer season fast approaching, Wienerschnitzel is introducing new menu items to celebrate the return of the brand’s favorite time of the year: the Jalapeno Cheese Corn Dog and Summer Sippers.

Both products are available for a limited time and are now available at all 350 locations.

The Jalapeno Cheese Corn Dog is stuffed with melted cheese and jalapeno bits.  

Wienerschnitzel’s Summer Sippers feature a line of ice-cold lemonade in four flavors: Strawberry, Cherry, Mango, and Blackberry. 

Lessons in Longevity

Paul Hironimus turned 80 years old in January. Like so many other franchisees, Hironimus, a Long Beach City College graduate, began his professional career outside the quick-service industry, serving as a draftsman in Los Angeles.

Nine years after graduating, in the early ’60s, Hironimus took an interest in Wienerschnitzel, which had just opened shop. And since 1965, he has maintained a successful portfolio of franchised units.

Wienerschnitzel Founder John Galardi Passes Away at Age 75

John Galardi, 75, founder and chairman of Galardi Group, parent company of Wienerschnitzel, The Original Hamburger Stand, and Tastee Freez, passed away of pancreatic cancer on Saturday, April 13.

Galardi began as an eager entrepreneur determined to make it in the world of fast food. Over the past 52 years, Galardi has guided Wienerschnitzel from a single hot dog stand in 1961 to what is now: the world’s largest hot dog chain, owning or operating 350 locations and selling more than 120 million hot dogs annually.

Fans See Bright Lights, Big Cities at Wienerschnitzel

Wienerschnitzel, the world’s largest hot dog chain, is launching its “Big City Favorites Sweepstakes,” giving Facebook fans the chance to win a free trip to one of three big cities: Chicago, New York City, or Los Angeles.

The “Big City” sweepstakes runs April 8–May 26, 2013, and shines the spotlight on three regional hot dog favorites: Chicago Dog, NY Coney Island Dog, and LA Bacon Wrapped Street Dog.

Fans may register to win on Wienerschnitzel’s “Big City Favorites” Facebook tab, as well as earn bonus entries by sharing the contest with their Facebook friends.

Wienerschnitzel Wants Fans to Cash in on a Corn Dog

Wienerschnitzel, the world’s largest hot dog chain, is offering guests the chance to win big once again during its fourth annual “Cash in on a Corn Dog” sweepstakes by giving away $100,000 in cash prizes andmore than 1.2 millionfree corn dogs.

Beginning February 25, every corn dog stick will reveal either an instant winner or a code to redeem prizes online. Approximately one out of every four 99-cent corn dogs purchased will win a prize on the spot, ranging from the grand cash prize of $10,000 to a free corn dog.
