HuHot Mongolian Grill Sees 7-Percent Sales Increase

HuHot Mongolian Grill’s same store sales increased 7 percent during the first period of 2015 as compared to the same time in 2014.

The company credits the increase in sales to a rise in visits seen at almost every location, driven by improved operations and marketing. HuHot’s company-owned Lafayette, Indiana location is one of the main stores leading this charge with a 34.9 percent increase compared with the prior year. This increase is greatly attributed to community relationship building through local store marketing efforts by general manager Anthony Bonfitto in 2014.

HuHot Goes Fast Casual With NuHu Express

HuHot Mongolian Grill, a full-service restaurant chain based in Montana, is making its foray into the fast-casual industry with NuHu Mongolian Express. The company believes that the new restaurant, which will open in downtown Denver on February 12, is perfectly suited to satisfy Millennials’ preference for customization, freshness, and new flavor profiles.

Jeff Martin, NuHu’s COO, says the new store will distinguish itself from other fast casuals because of its cook-to-order process, which allows customers to choose raw ingredients to have grilled directly in front of them.

HuHot is Asking Guests to “Save Their Sauce”

HuHot Mongolian Grill, a leading create-your-own stir-fry concept, is adding to their sauce line-up. One of the restaurant’s rotating seasonal sauces will become a permanent addition to the sauce bar this fall, and HuHot is asking their guests to decide which one.

HuHot Mongolian Grill is offering a new, limited time dessert called Gobi-Nanas, a play on the Gobi Desert in Mongolia and the phrase “Go bananas!” This sweet dessert is available starting on October 1 through the end of November, and pricing varies by location.

HuHot Contest Ups Pinterest Followers By 30 Percent

During the month of June, HuHot Mongolian Grill tapped into a new social media obsession by inviting Facebook fans to participate in a “Grill Meal” contest on Pinterest.

The HuHot franchise is among the first pioneers to do this in the restaurant industry. During the contest, its followers increased from 119 to 169. That’s a 30 percent increase in a month’s time and can be attributed to HuHot leading the Mongolian Grill community on Pinterest.

HuHot Mongolian Grills Kicks Off Video Contest

HuHot Mongolian Grills, a national franchise chain that makes a point of inviting patrons to “Feed Your Inner Warrior,” has launched a video contest this March with cash prizes.

“We’re inviting the public to submit original short videos about why your inner warrior loves HuHot,” says Stephanie Krause, marketing director of HuHot Mongolian Grills, LLC, a company with 42 locations in the Midwest and West.

“They can sing or dance or use animation, whatever works for them,” Krause says.

HuHot Mongolian Grill Unveils 2012 Expansion Plans

With Asian restaurant concepts popping up across the United States, HuHot Mongolian Grill continues to stay focused – and that means growth. During HuHot’s most recent planning session, the new restaurant count anticipated for 2012 landed in the double digits.

Next year’s growth will include the conquering of North Carolina by Mike Treadwell, of Treadwell Enterprises, one of HuHot’s newest franchisees. Treadwell plans to open his first North Carolina HuHot in Greenville this spring, and hopes for new HuHot openings quarterly in 2012.

Ever Had a Mongolian Sunburn?

In July, HuHot Mongolian Grills across the U.S.will launch Mongolian Sunburn, the ying and yang of sweet citrus flavors with a tangy and spicy kick, named by one of HuHot’s own Facebook fans.

With its exciting flavor, all the new Sauce of the Season needed was a name to fit the taste. HuHot ran a month-long Facebook contest to give the fans the chance to both name the sauce and choose the winner.
