Houston-based Salata, a fast-casual salad bar concept, expanded its variety this fall with the addition of three new vegan proteins: quinoa, falafel, and tofu.
Health experts agree that eating a lighter dinner filled with lean proteins, veggies, and fruits helps manage weight, sleep patterns, and energy levels. Salata wants to encourage good habits by bringing back its popular Eat Light at Night promotion, a money-saving offers redeemable after 4 p.m. from September 8 through October 20 at all participating Salata locations in Texas, California, and Illinois.
Salata will celebrate the grand opening of its first Illinois location on Thursday, September 4. The 2,200-square-foot restaurant is at 1083 E. Lake Cook Road in the Lexington Commons Plaza in Wheeling.
The Wheeling Salata will be Salata’s 39th in the U.S. To celebrate its newest location, the restaurant will give away a free salad or salad wrap and signature drink to the first 39 guests to dine on grand opening day. The daylong celebration will also include additional giveaways.
Salata will celebrate the grand opening of its first location in Austin on Thursday, April 10, in the Shops of Arbor Walk. The Houston-based chain has expanded rapidly this year, opening four restaurants to date in 2014, with 14 additional locations planned throughout the year.
