Freshens Brings Healthy Dining to College Campuses

Freshens, one of the nation’s largest college and university retail brands, is proud to announce the opening of two new locations at Valparaiso University and the University of Akron.

Valparaiso, a private university located 90 miles southeast of Chicago, celebrated its Freshens’ Grand Opening in the Campus Café on August 26. Students have been lining up to enjoy handcrafted crepes, fresh made salads, smoothies, and frozen yogurt.

Freshens Gets Sweet and Savory With New Crepe Options

Freshens relies heavily on customer research to keep its product offerings relevant and on trend with its customers.  

The Atlanta-based company conducted a series of focus groups to gain insight into flavor profiles that its loyal customer base was seeking for new crepe menu additions, and then utilized an outside culinary group to create chef-inspired menu offerings.

Freshens Adds Salads, Healthy Items for Smart Dining Choices

Atlanta-based Freshëns, the nation’s largest frozen yogurt and smoothie company, is expanding its menu to include healthy salads. It is also rapidly opening new locations at college campuses across the country.

The new salads are hand tossed and served in a crispy edible bowl made on a crepe iron. The launch of the new salads comes on the heels of Freshëns’ successful introduction of its lineup of handcrafted crepes last year.

Freshëns Debuts Fresh Kiosk, Items, and Branding

Atlanta-based Freshëns, the nation’s largest frozen yogurt and smoothie company, is debuting its new kiosk prototype this summer at Grapevine Mills Mall in Atlanta.

In addition to introducing the new kiosk, Freshëns is expanding its menu and updating its branding message.

The new Freshëns kiosk will be positioned directly across from the Legoland Discovery Center.

Lovin’ Spoons, Freshens Partner to Create Yogurt Lineup

Customers visiting a Lovin’ Spoons store will soon be able to dig into cups of the company’s own self-branded frozen yogurt. The growing yogurt franchise has formed a strategic alliance with Freshëns Quality Brandsthe yogurt and smoothie company, to create and manufacture a new proprietary yogurt lineup scheduled to launch in June.

As Lovin’ Spoons looks to expand through franchise opportunities across the Southeast and beyond, the Freshëns alliance will help further differentiate the young company from other self-serve yogurt brands.

Truvia brand and Freshens, the largest frozen yogurt and smoothie company in the U.S., have collaborated to create a new frozen yogurt base formula sweetened with Truvia rebiana that has no sugar added and is both fat-free and lower in calories compared to the original formula. The latest Truvia rebiana sweetened formulation marks a new milestone for the company, as it replaces Freshens' 25-year-old original recipe in all menu offerings available to consumers nationwide.
