Friendly’s Ice Cream LLC, the operator of Friendly’s restaurants and a manufacturer of ice cream products distributed in more than 8,000 retail outlets, announced the appointment of Michael Dion as the company’s chief information officer. Dion, who has more than 30 years of experience in information technology, is excited to bring his insight to the Friendly’s executive team. Dion officially assumed this role on February 2 and reports to John Maguire, Friendly’s president and CEO.

Friendly’s Ice Cream, LLC, the operator of over 250 Friendly’s restaurants and a manufacturer of ice cream products distributed in over 7,500 retail outlets, is combining forces with Crayola to introduce a new, one-of-a-kind, premium Crayola Decorate Your Own Ice Cream Cake. Topped with freshly whipped icing, each ice cream cake serves as an edible artist’s canvas that can be customized with packets of blue and red icing, rainbow confetti, and green and yellow sprinkles that are included with every package.

Friendly's Turns 77 with 77-Cent Cone Day on July 21

In a tasty twist on the traditional, Friendly’s restaurants are celebrating their 77th anniversary this year with a special, limited-time offer. On July 21, from noon to 5 p.m. local time, Friendly’s restaurants will be serving up a single scoop of their famous ice cream in cones or cups for just 77 cents.
