Snagajob, America’s largest hourly employment network for job seekers and employers, today announced that Peter Harrison—the former chief executive officer at McLean, Virginia–based GlobalLogic, a 6,000-employee global services company—has been chosen to succeed Snagajob’s founder and CEO, Shawn Boyer, as its next CEO.
Boyer, who founded Snagajob in 2000 and has grown the Richmond, Virginia–based company into the nation’s foremost market for hourly employment, will move to the role of chairman of the board, where he will focus on identifying and growing future initiatives, building external partner relationships, and building awareness of Snagajob’s mission.
“After almost 13 years of guiding Snagajob on a day-to-day basis and assembling an amazing group of talented and committed Snaggers, I believe strongly that the time is right for me to hand over the CEO role to someone who has a proven track record of taking companies like Snagajob to the next level,” Boyer says.
“We continue to grow revenue rapidly, we are profitable, and it’s increasingly clear that we have an even bigger opportunity in front of us,” he adds. “After an extensive nationwide search, I am ecstatic that we found Peter and that he will be joining our team.

Harrison has more than 25 years of experience successfully leading the growth of emerging technology companies. He most recently served as the CEO of GlobalLogic, growing the company from 20 people to more than 6,000 from 2002 to 2012.
He now serves as vice chairman of GlobalLogic’s board of directors.
Prior to joining GlobalLogic, Harrison was senior vice president of field operations at Versata, a leading provider of business automation software.
While at Versata, he grew revenue more than 50 fold in four years, leading to an IPO in 2000 that at the time ranked in the top 25 best openings of all time.
Harrison also cofounded Seer Technologies, where, as vice president, he increased revenues from $0 to $120 million in five years, leading to an IPO in 1995. He earned his bachelor of science in software engineering from Birmingham University in the U.K.

Boyer will move into the chairman of the board role when Harrison starts in April.
Launched more than a decade ago, Snagajob now hosts more than 40 million registered job seekers, has processed more than 150 million applications, and has helped more than 45,000 employers recruit and hire more productive hourly employees.
The company expanded its services in 2009 to include hiring software solutions through an integrated talent management system, now in use at more than 5,000 locations nationwide.
Snagajob launched its latest product innovation, ReadyHire, in January, which helps employers accelerate large scale recruiting campaigns.
Snagajob has been named to both Fortune Magazine’s “Great Place to Work: Best Small & Medium Workplaces” list and Deloitte’s Technology Fast 500 for the past five years.
