Twin Peaks is redefining the all-female waitstaff sports bar category, putting a unique spin on the growing niche. The concept offers made-from-scratch menu items, craft beer, and a superior sports experience in a comfortable, polished mountain sports lodge setting.
Twin Peaks is built upon five brand pillars: the Twin Peaks Girls, made-from-scratch food, the brand’s signature 29 Degree craft beer, sports on wall-to-wall TVs, and the local lodge atmosphere. Since it was founded in Lewisville, a suburb of Dallas, in 2007, the brand has experienced whirlwind success. By 2014, the Twin Peaks enterprise had grown to more than 40 restaurants in 19 states, including a marquee restaurant on the Las Vegas strip, and average unit volume (AUV) hit a record high. The next year, Bloomberg dubbed Twin Peaks “America’s Fastest Growing Restaurant Chain,” and the company reached another major milestone: the Twin Peaks Brewing Co. opened in Irving, Texas. The brewery creates four signature suds—Dirty Blonde, Dropdead Redhead, Gold Digger Ale, and Knotty Brunette—and supplies all of the Twin Peaks locations in Texas. The beers are also available in cans, which customers can purchase to-go, further increasing alcohol sales revenue. In 2016, Twin Peaks was included on the FSR 50’s list of fast-growing, high-performing chains.
To accommodate the brand’s legions of sports fans, each restaurant employs the most advanced, category-leading A/V system with the biggest screens and the most premium viewing angles. Twin Peaks boasts high average unit volumes and leads the category in unit-level economics, driven by events, a profitable daypart and menu mix, and high profit margin alcohol sales.
Today, the concept operates in 25 states—from Florida to California—with many more in the development pipeline. As such, the company is actively seeking partnerships with franchisees. The company is looking to partner with existing multi-unit restaurant operators, preferably with full-service casual-dining experience, real estate and construction experience, and the ability to open and operate a minimum of three to five restaurants. Franchisees must have a net worth of $5 million, and existing banking and financing relationships are key. Ninety percent of Twin Peaks restaurants are conversions of existing casual-dining restaurant locations, and the brand performs well in areas with heavy daytime working populations, mid-scale business hotels, upscale apartments, and a total population of 150,000 or more within five miles.
