When it comes to traditional home-style Mexican food on the go, the first name that comes to mind for most Inland Empire residents is Miguel’s Jr.

Since 1975, Miguel’s Jr. has served traditional Mexican cuisine based on authentic family recipes to a growing fan base in the Inland Empire and more recently, Orange County, California. Over the years, the strictly family-owned restaurant chain has grown from a single location in central Corona to 14 locations throughout the Inland Empire and Orange County. A new Riverside location is scheduled to open in late spring.

To service the continued growth of Miguel’s Jr., the chain will be filling 100 new full- and part-time positions this spring to operate restaurant locations throughout the Inland Empire, including management, customer service, and kitchen roles. Each role varies in duties, skills, and experience, and Miguel’s Jr. provides training programs that offer candidates the opportunity to create their own career paths.

“While we continue to grow throughout Southern California, the Inland Empire is the original home of Miguel’s Jr., so we’re thrilled to bring exciting new employment opportunities to our neighborhood,” says Miguel’s Jr., director of marketing Steve Rezner. “We’re confident that we can find local talent here in the Inland Empire and candidates who share our passion for quality, customer service, and traditional Mexican home-style cooking.”

A hiring event to fill the new positions will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 30 at Miguel’s Jr. corporate headquarters (280 Corporate Terrace St., Corona CA 92879). Candidates are encouraged to submit an online application at www.miguelsjr.com prior to the hiring event and bring a completed application to the event, where on-site interviews will take place. Applications are also available at any Miguel’s Jr. restaurant location and will be available at the April 30 hiring event.

In addition to the April 30 hiring event, open interviews will be conducted every Wednesday from 2 to 4 p.m. starting April 20 at Miguel’s Jr. locations in: West Corona; South Corona; Moreno Valley; Grand Terrace; Fontana; Murrieta; Orange; and Costa Mesa, California.

As an incentive to find qualified candidates, Miguel’s Jr. is offering a $100 signing bonus to all new employees after their first 100 days on the job. Other benefits and perks include a referral bonus program, 100 percent paid employee meals, medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401K plan, paid time off company-sponsored recognition programs, and much more, depending on eligibility

The newly created positions are also needed to support Miguel’s Jr.’s new breakfast menu, which launched in January and is being introduced at all locations in 2016. The new breakfast offerings are part of a growing lineup of Miguel’s Jr. burritos, tacos, quesadillas, nachos, tostadas, taquitos, guacamole, and other traditional foods inspired by recipes created by Mary Vasquez in Central Mexico.

The full Miguel’s Jr. menu offers only the freshest homemade ingredients, including fresh-cracked eggs, marinated potatoes, and hand-grated cheese. All Miguel’s Jr. menu items are made without microwaves, freezing, fillers, or preservatives.
