Freebirds is thrilled to announce the launch of its official food truck concept this spring to make ordering on the go, one step easier. The Freebirds food truck will publicly debut on Saturday, May 7 and Sunday, May 8 at Lone Star Jam in Austin. After its launch at the festival, the truck will make its way across the country to promote new openings.

The mobile eatery will serve much of what the Freebirds’ brick-and-mortar restaurants offer: burritos, tacos, quesadillas, and burrito bowls. For special events, the truck’s menu will be able to accommodate to the consumer, such as offering an all-veggie or vegan menu. Patrons can order their favorite Freebirds dish from the truck’s digital menuboard; cash and cards will both be accepted.

A state-of-the-art recreational kitchen ensures that customers will still enjoy the top-notch experience that Freebirds has offered for nearly 30 years. The use of high-quality ingredients such as grilled poultry, premium steak, seasoned ground beef, and sautéed whole vegetables will remain an integral part in the company’s commitment to excellence in its newest venture.

“We are very excited to launch this new phase in Freebirds’ expansion and rebranding,” says president and COO Bobby Shaw. “It gives us the opportunity to bring Freebirds where it has never been before, and introduce the brand to an entirely new audience.”
