From delivering Bojangles’ Legendary Iced Tea to hundreds of beachgoers in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, to surprising people on a scorching summer day in downtown Atlanta to serving law enforcement and first responders in cities throughout Alabama, Bojangles’ refreshed thousands of fans with every cup of iced tea poured during the brand’s #SummerOfTea tour. Bojangles’ fittingly wrapped up its Summer of Tea Labor Day weekend, at the Bojangles’ Southern 500 at Darlington Raceway in Darlington, South Carolina. During the weekend, Bojangles’ delighted thirsty race fans and race teams by handing out hundreds of bottles of Legendary Iced Tea and free iced tea coupons.

As part of the Summer of Tea, Bojangles’ also offered their 32-ounce Legendary Iced Tea for just $1 at participating locations. In company-operated restaurants alone, Bojangles’ sold more than 3 million 32-ounce cups of tea throughout the summer. This equates to 750,000 gallons—more than one Olympic-sized swimming pool.

“We kicked off this summer with a new Legendary Iced Tea logo, free tea for customers and an epic road trip to the beach on June 10, National Iced Tea Day,” says Randy Poindexter, senior vice president of marketing. “Since then, we’ve reached millions of Bojangles’ fans with our refreshing, one-of-a-kind iced tea, and it just made perfect sense to close out the Summer of Tea at our premier event, the Bojangles’ Southern 500.”
