Master franchisees Adil Nasser Al Sharyani and Adel Ali Lawati, who make up the franchise partner group Muscat Golden Skies, LLC, are opening a Doc Popcorn kiosk at the Oman China Mall, offering its fresh-popped kettle-cooked snack for the first time in Oman.
Their Doc Popcorn PopKiosk opened on Sept. 2. As the largest franchised retailer of fresh-popped flavored popcorn on the planet, Doc Popcorn pops its whole-grain kernels in 100 percent corn oil and offers a wide variety of distinctive flavors made from blends of natural and other high-quality ingredients. Gourmet flavors range from Cheesy Cheddar and Sweet Butter to Caramel Bliss, and Hoppin' Jalapeño.
“We are so excited to bring Doc Popcorn to the Oman China Mall, which opened in our hometown last April,” says Nasser Al Saharyani. “Doc Popcorn brings an entirely new snacking experience to the country. The fresh-faced brand is certainly not your grandfather’s popcorn.”
With a goal of bringing at least seven locations to Oman over the next five years, Nasser Al Sharyani and Ali Lawati plan to open a combination of Doc Popcorn’s models, including PopCarts in Muscat and elsewhere to further establish the brand throughout the country. Oman’s locations will eventually offer fresh-popped flavors unique to the local palate.
