Arby’s franchisee, Brumit Restaurant Group, Inc., was presented the Inspiring Smiles Franchisee of the Year Award this month at Arby’s Worldwide Franchise Convention in Orlando. With more than 350 franchise groups in the Arby’s system, Arby’s Restaurant Group, Inc., awarded this top honor to BRG due to their efforts to Inspire Smiles not just for their guests, but also for members of their team and members of the community.

“We are honored to receive this recognition among so many outstanding franchise groups that are part of the Arby’s system,” says JoAnn Yoder, president, Brumit Restaurant Group, Inc. “Our team has worked incredibly hard to not only deliver the best possible experience for guests in all of our restaurants, but also to embrace Arby’s PurposeFULL commitment to social responsibility by giving back and being active in our local communities.”

BRG operates 46 restaurants in North and South Carolina and these restaurants have an average same-store sales increase of 10.6 percent versus last year. They have remodeled three of their restaurants to the Inspire image, built one new restaurant and will have built two more by the end of this year. They have also supported their local community college since 2002 and were instrumental in the revitalization and expansion of the college’s hospitality center.

BRG is also a major supporter of the Arby’s Foundation and created the JoyFULL holiday meal program in Asheville, North Carolina, which was the inspiration for the School’s Out Food’s In meal card program that Arby’s introduced nationally in 2015.
