Arby’s is celebrating the grand reopening of Restaurant #1A in Boardman, Ohio. The restaurant sits across the street from the original Arby’s building, a 10-seat drive-in sandwich shop opened by Ohio brothers Leroy and Forrest Raffel in 1964.
The rebuilt restaurant at 29 Boardman-Canfield Road features Arby’s new Inspire design that includes subway tiling, stainless steel, multicolor wood materials, modern lighting and chalkboard graphics for a contemporary yet comfortable atmosphere. The new format also increases restaurant efficiency and has yielded sales increases of 15 percent or more.
As part of the Arby’s Foundation’s mission to support youth empowerment in communities across America, Arby’s will donate the purchase price of every kids meal sold at the new restaurant from November 28 to December 26 to Stadium Drive Elementary School in Boardman.
This grand reopening of Arby’s comes on the heels of the brand announcing 24 consecutive quarters of same-store sales growth, 15 consecutive quarters of industry outperformance and 10 consecutive quarters of transaction growth. Through the first three quarters of 2016, Arby’s has opened 34 new restaurants and remodeled 188 others system-wide.
