Award-winning fast-casual pizza concept, PizzaRev, continued its cross-country expansion with the opening of its first Memphis restaurant. Friday’s Grand Opening at 6450 Poplar Ave is marked with an all-day fundraiser for Le Bonheur Children’s Research Hospital.

The Memphis opening follows PizzaRev’s successful Tennessee debut in Jackson this past Summer. Two additional locations are already under construction in Memphis and another in Nashville—all expected to open in the first half of the year. The expansion of PizzaRev throughout Tennessee is led by Robby Stewart, Andres Bolivar and Chip Hackett of Southern Restaurant Holdings, LLC. The group currently owns and operates eight Steak n’ Shake restaurants in Georgia, Mississippi and Tennessee and maintains the highest average unit volume in the Steak n’ Shake system.

“Memphis is an exciting growth market for us this year; Robby and his team recognize the potential for PizzaRev to change the pizza game in Tennessee and across the country,” says Nicholas Eckerman, co-founder and co-CEO of PizzaRev. “They are committed to and passionate about innovation, a PizzaRev core value and a key to our success.”

PizzaRev is on a mission to change how consumers think about pizza, with offerings like fresh pressed, homemade dough, locally sourced ingredients, all-natural cheeses and vegan and gluten-free options. PizzaRev offers a fully customized dining experience that empowers guests to craft a personal pizza, including any of the 30-plus toppings, for one price. The new Memphis location opens with the iPourIt Inc. self-serve beer system featuring a wall of 16 taps of craft beer for guests to enjoy. PizzaRev is the first in Memphis to provide this self-pour concept of beer.

“We’re excited about the growth opportunity we have with PizzaRev,” says Stewart. “The addition of the self-pour beer system furthers our mission of delivering a truly Craft Your Own experience.”
