Cava, the rapidly expanding fast casual Mediterranean restaurant brand, will open two new locations in the Los Angeles area on March 7 and March 8 in downtown Culver City and Venice Beach. These openings represent the 26th and 27th restaurants for Cava, and the fourth and fifth in Los Angeles.

On the opening day at both locations, Cava will hold a community lunch, a tradition that started with the very first restaurant opening. Cava will offer free meals between 11a.m. and 2 p.m. and will be accepting donations to Garden School Foundation, its local non-profit partner, which dedicates itself to education through garden-based learning in outdoor living classrooms.

The Culver City location will feature an outdoor patio and a giant mural on the side of the building, which was painted by David Kaul of ADS Studio. Cava also operates a production kitchen in Culver City for their line of dips and spreads, which are sold in Whole Foods Market and beyond.

Cava has proved popular on the West Coast and will continue to expand with more locations set to open in 2017 in Santa Monica, USC Village and Mission Viejo. “Since the moment we opened out here, people have understood what we are about. They seem to love our approach to serving healthy and delicious food as well as our passion for the local community so we are delighted to be able to bring the Cava experience to the people living and working in Culver City,” says CEO Brett Schulman.

Customers will also be able to try out the new spring menu, which launches early in both Culver City and Venice, with delicious additions including a roasted veggie mix of zucchini, broccoli and rainbow carrots, seasoned with coriander and cumin, new seasonal toppings including sumac radishes, and juices rich in Vitamin C including a raspberry + mint grapefruit shrub and a ginger + lime turmeric tonic.
